Appliance service technicians repair and maintain washers, dryers, stoves, refrigerators, dishwashers, microwave ovens, room air conditioners, vacuum systems, and other appliances. They consult with customers about problems, test appliances, service and repair mechanical or electrical systems, and write cost estimates. They may work with hand tools, electronic diagnostic equipment, and soldering and brazing equipment.
