Electric motor system technicians work on electric motors, generators, transformers, controllers, and other electric equipment used in commercial, industrial, and institutional establishments. They test and disassemble the equipment, repair or replace defective and worn components, and then reassemble and retest the equipment to make sure it meets specifications.
